Kramer Elias partner Theodora Stringham was recently featured as part of the Virginia State Bar’s Real Property Section’s “Fee Simple” Journal. The Fee Simple is a biannual publication reflecting recent trends and issues in Virginia Real Estate law.

Ms. Stringham’s article: “Condemnation Clauses in Leases: Three Frequently Asked Questions from Real Estate Practitioners” provides key information for tenants and landlords (as well as their attorneys) for navigating condemnations. For example, Ms. Stringham outlines eligibility for a tenant’s participation in a condemnation proceeding (12-month lease) as well as timeline for participation (up to ten days before trial), offering tips for approaching potential participation.

Kramer Elias regularly represents Multifamily residential landlords as well as condemnors as property owners in various Real Estate matters. Ms. Stringham serves as an Area Representative for the Virginia Real Property Section and as a member of the Eminent Domain Committee.
